To cover modular panels of raised floors, marble, granite and natural stones are used in flat slabs, smooth or polished and calibrated with normal dimensions of 600x600mm. Because these are natural products, therefore extracted in block from quarries, they are then subjected to the mechanical processes of cutting and trimming. With this kind of finish, standard tolerance for color variation and stains is needed. It is preferable to use hard and solid stones like granite as marbles and softer stones are less suitable. There are also recomposed marbles and granites on the market: these are stone products industrially recomposed of natural marble and natural granite fragments bound together with polyester resins.
